Hispanic pay-TV channel Pasiones have just licensed two of Globo’s super productions. The first one is The Life We Lead, which premiered on Monday, October 12, and is being broadcast in Latin America. The channel’s other bet is Caribbean Flower, which is scheduled to air from October 26, in the United States. Pasiones has a long-standing partnership with Globo and, for years, has been broadcasting content from the Brazilian channel in their lineup. Shot in HD, with meticulous photography and beautiful sceneries in Brazil and Argentina, The Life We Lead tells the moving story of the sisters Ana (Fernanda Vasconcellos, Pages of Life) and Manuela (Marjorie Estiano, Empire), who deal with tragedy and find paths that lead to happiness. In Brazil, during its broadcast in access primetime, the plot reached an average of 24 rating points and a 52% share (source: Ibope). In Uruguay (Teledoce) and Costa Rica (Teletica), the telenovela was a leader of its airing time. Europe has also surrendered to this beautiful production. In Portugal, on Globo’s basic channel, the plot was one of the most watched programs on pay-TV in the country. The Life We Lead also had its broadcasting rights acquired by FOX (Netherlands), MundoFox (current MundoMax, Hispanic United States), TDM (Macao), VIVA Plus (Israel), and Abu Dhabi TV (Middle East), among others.Caribbean Flower shows how a couple in love since they were young can see everything change with a deceitful blow from a so-called friend. In Brazil, it was aired in access primetime, and averaged 25 audience rating points and 50% of share (source: Ibope). In Portugal, it aired on Globo’s basic channel and had the best premiere of a telenovela broadcast on pay-TV in the country recently. Caribbean Flower has also been licensed to South Korea (EPG), Peru (ATV), Uruguay (Teledoce), Chile (Canal 13), and Argentina (Telefe), among other countries.
